Tutto Italiano Hosted By Larz Anderson Museum Highlights Best Northeast Italian Cars Like Fiats

Aug. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The Larz Anderson museum’s “Tutto Italiano,” beginning yesterday and ending in November, is New England’s largest Italian car festival in which art, cars and Italian heritage are on full display through the duration of the festival.

“The Larz Anderson Auto Museum grew out of a Sunday tradition by wealthy socialites Larz and Isabel Anderson in their Brookline Massachusetts home. The Andersons would open the doors to their spectacular carriage house on Sunday afternoons and share the marvel of a mounting collection of antique American and European vehicles," says the museum's website, currently dedicated to the ongoing Tutto Italiano event.

"The Andersons' collection of vehicles began with the purchase of the Anderson’s first vehicle, an 1899 Winton 4-hp runabout. Today, this vehicle remains on permanent display in the museum’s lower gallery. Throughout their life, the Andersons continued to purchase and subsequently retire vehicles to the carriage house until the death of Isabel Anderson in 1948. The Andersons purchased a new car nearly every year, acquiring thirty-two brand new motorcars during the course of their life."

The celebration, which began at the end of July, is an assortment of meals, games and activities ranging from sitdown dinners to car admiration, and includes a Bocce tournament. The museum will play host to 17 events from August 6 through October 23, with the big Fiat raffle-off being held on November 5.

In the meantime, attendees can enjoy extraordinary events such as the museum’s free ”Cars and Coffee” event on 8/6, a fashion show and dance party on 8/4, and the big “Tutto Italiano” event day on 8/7.
