Intracoastal Bank President & CEO Receives United Way Highest Honor for Volunteering
Bruce Page, President and CEO of Intracoastal Bank in Palm Coast, FL has received the United Way of Volusia and Flagler's highest national honor for volunteering
Palm Coast, FL - Intracoastal Bank is excited to announce that Bruce Page, President and CEO of Intracoastal Bank has received the President's CALL TO SERVICE award from the United Way of Volusia and Flagler. The President’s CALL TO SERVICE AWARD is the highest national honor offered in recognition of a lifetime of volunteer service.
Mr. Page is a longtime member of the United Way Board of Directors. He serves as a committee chair, and most recently has been instrumental in the United Way's work in Flagler County with the development of the Flagler County Mobile Benefits Program. He is a longtime Rotarian and supporter of other local agencies such as Florida Hospital Flagler, the Flagler Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as the chair for Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, University of Florida.
Rick Fraser of the Center for Business Excellence was also selected for the award. “Both Rick and Bruce have long histories with United Way starting as “loaned executives” from their employers to help United Way during its annual campaign,” said Ray Salazar, President of United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties. “As each grew in stature to their current positions, they never forgot their first positive experience with United Way and have given of their time, talent and resources ever since. This community is blessed to have executives of this caliber committed to improving lives everyday.”
Established in 2003, the President’s Volunteer Service Award – which is modeled after the President’s Physical Fitness Award – recognizes those who have answered the call and is available on an annual basis to individuals, groups and families who have met or exceeded requirements for volunteer service; demonstrating exemplary citizenship through volunteering. As a Certifying Organization participating in the award program, the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties’ Volunteer Center confers the award to recognize the outstanding achievements of volunteers in our area.
The President’s Volunteer Service Award is an award for volunteer service that every American – from every age and every walk of life – can aspire to achieve. To be eligible to receive the Award, individuals, families and groups submit a record of their annual volunteer service hours to participating organizations, such as the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties’ Volunteer Center, that will verify the service and deliver the Award. Award eligibility for individuals and groups is based upon hour requirements varying by age.
