July 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Sewell, NJ – To improve the tennis skills of all players, PTR Teaching Pro and producer of the tennis instruction video "Get To The Net," Danny Bowens, puts his exclusive systems, The Keys to Winning Tennis and The W/E Ratio, to the test to unlock the secrets of the 2011 Wimbledon final match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Everyday players and weekend warriors alike will find The W/E Ratio tracker, available as a free download from http://www.dannybowenstennis.com, a powerful tool to analyze performance, improve skills and play great tennis.

The Keys to Winning Tennis examines goals relating to the transition game: net play – on at least 30% of the points, first serve percentage – at least 65% and returns in play – 80% or higher. The W/E Ratio examines winners divided by errors for all strokes collectively and/or individually. “The W/E Ratio produces a number much like a baseball batting average or a basketball free throw or field goal percentage,” states Bowens. He continues, “When playing excellent tennis, the player will have at least as many winners as errors, which will yield a W/E Ratio of 100 or more.” Bowens covers both systems on the "Get To The Net" DVD.

Now ranked number one in the world with his 2011 Wimbledon win, Novak Djokovic excelled with an overall W/E ratio of 100 compared to Rafael Nadal’s overall W/E ratio of 13 in the critical last three games of the final set. Analyzing the match-up in further detail starting at 3-3 in the final set, Djokovic approached the net on 20% of the points while Nadal failed to reach the net at all; Djokovic’ first serve percentage of 80 surpassed Nadal’s first serve percentage of 60; and Djokovic had 100% returns in play while Nadal trailed at 70%. Djokovic’s best stroke was the backhand volley with a W/E ratio of 100 while Nadal’s best stroke, the forehand, produced a W/E ratio of 33. As a result, Djokovic played his best tennis in this final set winning 6-3. Bowens used the free W/E Ratio Evaluation form, available online (http://www.dannybowenstennis.com), to conduct this analysis.

The W/E Ratio tracker helps players of all levels – beginner, intermediate and advanced - increase winners and decrease errors, improving their on-court play. In addition to the free download, Bowens demonstrates the W/E Ratio system in the tennis instruction video, "Get To The Net."
