Musicians Delight! Auditions for Singers & Instrumentalists, Scottsdale Musical Arts

July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- If you're a singer or instrumentalist in the Scottsdale area, now's your opportunity to get involved in a great musical organization.

Scottsdale Musical Arts, a non-profit organization, is holding open registration and auditions.
Saturday, August 13; 10am-2pm
Sunday, August 14; 1pm-4pm

CHILDREN'S ENSEMBLES
The children's choirs are for singers in grades 1-12. There are three choirs:  
-Scottsdale Training Choir (For all children grades 1-4. Does not required an audition)
-Scottsdale Children's Choir (grades 4-9)
-Cantabile Choir (grades 9-12)  

We will also be holding auditions for Scottsdale Youth Orchestras. Players in grades 5-12 can audition for placement in the Scottsdale Youth Orchestras. Younger, skilled players are admitted on a case-by-case basis.

All parents will be able to review materials concerning the organization and there will be time to ask questions. We have a fantastic season planned with many exciting events including a tour to Washington D.C./New York City for auditioned ensembles.

ADULT ENSEMBLES
Adults can audition for 1 of 2 community orchestras: The Fine Arts Strings which rehearse Thursday mornings, and Scottsdale Baroque Orchestra. Contact Scottsdale Musical Arts for current openings in the semi-professional Scottsdale Choral Artists and Scottsdale Arts Orchestra.

Auditions are held at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Each audition takes about 15 minutes. The auditions are open, first-come/first-served, but we can arrange appointments for those who need to be heard at a specific time. Please park in the parking lot on the eastern most end of the campus and enter through the door marked, "music" (there will be a music stand outside to mark the way to the door.)
