Award-Winning Women in Austin Fashion Industry Unite to Host One-of-a-Kind Sample Sale

About Micah Yancey Rust
Micah Yancey Rust, nominee for Best Designer: People’s Choice in the 2010 Austin Fashion Awards, is one of Austin’s most innovative and young jewelry designers and creator of Bon Bon by Micah Yancey.  Micah will preview her collection of jewelry which includes semi-precious stones carefully chosen by Micah and unique vintage items. Combining her passions for art and fashion, Micah successfully creates a palate of originality.  Many of the stones in this line look good enough to eat, which explains Micah’s inspiration for the name, BonBon, meaning “candy” in French. As the founder of Kitsch Trading Co., local wardrobe stylist Sandra Antoun seeks to provide an opportunity to recreate people’s closets with their own items, bringing forth attires that match the upcoming fashion seasons.  Furthermore, she ventures to offer the voguish-at-heart--no matter their style-sense--a dash of her discerning taste for timeless, sustainable ensembles tailored to each individual. She has been hired to style for new singer songwriter Sarah Overall’s first music video to debut in January of next year.  She has also been asked to consult and dress Ed Kowalczyk, former lead-singer for the musical group Live, for both his debut album photo shoots and a DVD ‘Living Room’ series, to be locally-filmed in January.
