July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- VENTURA, CALIF.--Amgen and the Ventura County Community College District are the co-title sponsors of the 41st Annual Ventura County Economic Development Association (VCEDA) Business Outlook Conference. The event, scheduled for October 21, draws between 200 and 300 business and community leaders from throughout the county. It will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Ventura County Office of Education Conference Center (5100 Adolfo Road, Camarillo).

This year's conference is titled "Business SOS: Sustainability, Opportunity & Success." The interactive conference is designed to provide businesses with the information needed to prepare for a more sustainable, productive future and to take advantage of opportunities in the green economy.

“Far from being just another environmental buzzword, sustainability is the bridge to becoming more independent and self-sufficient--concepts that have been embraced in the United States since the country was founded," says Bill Camarillo, Agromin CEO and chairperson of the VCEDA board of directors.

"It is gratifying to see leaders in industry and education support this important annual conference," says Bill Buratto, VCEDA president/CEO. "The conference gives county businesses and community organizations the insight on how to prepare for the economic realities of today and beyond."

Other sponsors include Herald Printing, Pacific Coast Business Times, Aera Energy LLC, SOHO, Limoneira Company, Southern California Edison and County Commerce Bank.

For more sponsorship and conference information, contact Darlene Ruz at 805-676-1332, darlene@vceda.org or go to www.VCEDA.org.
