Then he witnesses something even more astonishing, and his life is changed forever, making the confrontation with his greedy banker and televangelist resonate with new meaning. Told in two parts, the novel moves back to America, and from the point of view of Valerie Lott, a TV entertainment producer, readers are shown the new David, now at peace with himself and others.
