Immigration Voice invited to U.S Senate hearing to testify on high-skilled immigration

Dr.Puneet Arora from Immigration Voice, a grass-roots organization representing high-skilled immigrants, will testify on Capitol Hill on July 26th, 2011, 10 PM ET

July 25, 2011 - PRLog -- The high-skilled immigration system in the U.S is outdated and broken. This is evident from the backlog of up to a million applicants that currently exists in the employment-based green card queue. It does not make any sense for the current system to take up to a decade or more to grant green cards to some of the best and brightest in the world, who have chosen America as their future home.

Immigration Voice , a 501(4)c non-profit organization, has single-handedly acted as the collective voice of thousands of high-skilled immigrants and their families who are stuck in this green card limbo. As a result of persistent advocacy and grass-roots efforts, this volunteer-driven organization has been successful in creating awareness among U.S lawmakers, on the issue of green card backlogs and long wait times.

Dr.Puneet Arora, from Immigration Voice, has been invited to testfy at a Senate Immigration Sub-committee hearing on July 26th, 2011 at 10:00 AM ET. Dr.Arora will be joined on the panel by Mr.Robert Greifeld - NASDAQ, Dr.David J.Skorton – Cornell University and Mr.Brad Smith – Senior Vice-President, Microsoft.
