Follow on Google News | Icebreaker Entertainment Supports the Young Victims of Joplin's TornatoEstablishes a program to donate Sassy Slang School Supplies to Students
By: Icebreaker Entertainment On May 22, the town of Joplin, Missouri was struck by a devastating EF-5 tornado. Over 262 classrooms and the only high school in the area were completely destroyed, and many other schools were heavily damaged. Seven Joplin students were among the 153 people killed by the horrific storm. The two youngest victims were only 6 years old and students at Joplin’s East Morland School. “As a small business, we wish we could donate millions of dollars to help Joplin’s tornado victims,” said Christi Scofield, the President & Founder of Icebreaker Entertainment. “But what we can do is donate our products and encourage our customers to do the same by matching their donations.” Launched last week nation-wide, Sassy Slang’s new school supplies are available exclusively at Walmart and include notebooks and pencil cases, binders and more. Icebreaker Entertainment will donate Sassy Slang school supplies to Bright Futures in Joplin and will match its customers’ donations as well.
