July 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The Indiana Chapter of Operation Homefront announced the membership of their inaugural Board today. Operation Homefront (OH), a national 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization based in San Antonio, assists the families of Active Duty Military personnel with emergency financial assistance; food; transitional housing; emergency home repairs; critical baby items; vehicle repair; vision care and more.

The Board was instituted under the guidance of Chapter President Mark Rosenstein and consists of Michael Hiatt (Chairman), Brad Kinsey (Vice Chairman), Patrick Parten (Treasurer), and Jonathan Stoops (Secretary). The establishment of the Board of Directors represents an integral step in the Chapters development. These members create a framework to ensure the OH Mission is met.

“Every member of this Board has represented their respective industries with distinction.” Explained President Mark Rosenstein, “Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Chapter.”

The mission of OH, to provide assistance to military families, often comes in the form of cash grants (not loans), which will normally be paid directly to providers such as mortgage lenders or utility companies. Assistance is usually provided within one to three days.

Chairman Michael Hiatt added: “ I am honored and excited to accept the role of Chairman. Operation Homefront has developed a solid organization to meet our service members emergency needs and fill the gaps left by government programs.”

OH is the perfect avenue for donors who wish to ensure their donations directly support Soldiers in need. All donations come from corporations, foundations and individuals; no funds will come from the government. Since 2002 OH has provided more than $92 million to programs for military families.
