EMG-SME promotes two team members

July 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Specialty Machinery and Equipment Inc., (www.emg-sme.com) a 17 year old manufacturing solutions provider offering one source for high-speed, innovative, automated systems for assembly, from planning to implementation and continuing support, recently named Skipper Rose and Tim Clement to new positions at the company.
Chris Childers, president of SME, was thrilled to announce the hirings. “We are extremely lucky to be able to bring experts with Skipper and Tim’s background on board at Specialty Machinery & Equipment Inc. Locating employees with the talent and skill level that these two individuals possess is difficult to achieve”.
Skipper Rose will take on the new position of plant manager for Specialty Machinery and Equipment. In this role, he will report directly to Chris Childers and be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the plant and its workforce. He will manage manufacturing, purchasing, and operations, as well as engineering/design, assembly, machine shop, outside contractors, and planning.
Rose is a graduate of the Arkansas College of Technology and has 25 years of experience in the industry. He has been with SME since 2010.
Tim Clement has been named project engineer for SME. He will report to Rose and oversee the design, implementation, and completion of projects for the company. He will be responsible for all project aspects, from initial conceptual development to project completion.
Clement holds a Bachelor of Science, Engineering, from Oklahoma State University. He has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. Before being brought in house for this position, Clement served the company as a contractor.
