Point Pleasant Village Designer Home 2011 Announces Designer Selections

A quintessential Bucks County, Pennsylvania mid-1800's canal house is the site of the 2011 Point Pleasant Village Designer Home.

July 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Point Pleasant Village, located along the Delaware River in beautiful bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the exciting information regarding its inaugral Point Pleasant Village Designer Home 2011.

The Point Pleasant Village Designer House 2011 located at 34 River Road, Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania is a quintessential Bucks County, Pennsylvania mid-1800's modest canal house.  The property sits along the winding road which follows the contours of the Delaware River.  As you drive under the canopy of massive old leafy trees through sleepy towns, pass numerous bed and breakfast locations it becomes understandable why the committee chose this exciting location.  In this part of Bucks County, one can rent an inner tube to cool off in the river, take in many local artisnal foods or visit award winning wineries.

This is a designer house like no other.  The rooms are rooted in history yet evoke a livable charm in size and proportion.  The house is being turned upside down and inside out by a team of designers who submitted design plans the first week in May.  The selection process required design boards submitted with an explanation of who the designer thought would live in their room, why they made their selections and include pictures of items being used in the room as well as a scale layout for the committee's review.  After a week or so of nail biting, the selection committee notified:  Arbor Hill Interiors, Chapel Road Design, collaborativE Synergies LLC, Details for the Home, DMB Design Associates, HD Kitchens & Baths, Left Bank Home, Lois Wilson Interior Design, Newtown Squate Decor, Piper Classics, Time for Design, VAH Associates, LLC and Walters Nursery their designs were all accepted.

Deborah Smith of collaborativE Synergies, LLC mentioned she is really excited to help promote and revive the community of Point Pleasant and small river towns through this charitable event.  She is planning to be available in September for the "Meet the Designer" day in her Sunroom which will reflect her love of travel in a unique way.

The Point Pleasant Village Designer House 2011 is a benefit for the community of Point Pleasant and the Point Pleasant Baptist Church who so graciously loaned their parsonage to benefit the community at large.  The designers will have the canal house ready for public viewing September 1st - 25th, Thursday thru Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or Sundays 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Visit their website, www.ppdhouse.org , for more information, $15 advance purchase tickets or $17 at the door, group information, or sponsorship opportunities.

Point Pleasant Village invites you to visit their hamlet to check out their canal house in September as the foliage changes, the weather cools off and the designers bring life into their corner of paradise.
