Follow on Google News | A Rockin' Good Time for Legal AidDallas Bar Association Hosts Law Jam 3 concert to raise awareness for legal assistance for low-income residents of Dallas County.
The public is invited to join hundreds of lawyers who will attend the event. “The most fun place to be in Dallas, Texas, on August 20, 2011 will be the Granada Theater, where the coolest lawyer bands in the state—Big Wheel, Black Dirt Tango, Blue Collar Crime, The Catdaddies, Texas Rock Association, The Usuals and the Wrecking Crew—will be rockin’ for pro bono,” said DBA President Barry Sorrels. “This event raises money for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, which provides legal services to the poor. So put on your t-shirts and jeans and get ready to party!” All proceeds will benefit the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, which assists approximately 3,475 families per year. In addition, a silent auction will be available. The band lineup includes: • 6:00 p.m. – The Usuals • 7:00 p.m. – Big Wheel • 8:00 p.m. – Black Dirt Tango • 9:00 p.m. – The Catdaddies • 10:00 p.m. – Blue Collar Crime • 11:00 p.m. – The Wrecking Crew • Midnight – Texas Rock Association When & Where: Sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association, Law Jam 3 is Saturday, August 20, 2011, beginning at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at The Granada Theater, 3524 Greenville Ave., Dallas.
