Orchitech newly innovated system for production and administration of ISIC cards

July 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Prague, Czech Republic – Orchitech Solutions, s.r.o., a provider of information technology solutions and services, announced today that the company has successfully deployed a new version of GTS ALIVE's National Cardholders Database, a system for record keeping, sales process control and production of ISIC cards. The system has been launched in the Czech Republic and Argentina and will be implemented shortly in Ireland, Indonesia, Pakistan and India.

The National Cardholder Database (NCDB) is an internet portal and system which implements crucial sales, production and distribution processes of GTS ALIVE cards. The NCDB is used by around 250 Czech educational institutions and the system provides for 786 thousand ISIC, ITIC, IYTC and ALIVE cards in the Czech Republic alone. This new Orchitech Solutions application has taken advantage of up-to-date trends and has replaced the technologically outdated system developed in 2006.

“Our aim was to deliver a solution based on the latest technology and standards. So we have invested in the extension of our services with JSF 2.0 and Primefaces technology”, said Martin Čížek, CEO of Orchitech Solutions. “This choice was the right decision as the successful NCDB implementation confirms.”

In the process of new system development, Orchitech put an emphasis on the efficiency of administrators and customers, who use the system day-to-day. That was the reason for workflow improvements in terms of order creation and processing. Orchitech has completely redesigned the user interface to improve convenience and user-friendliness. On top of that, the application has been optimized to enable compatibility with touch screen devices. Because of the sensitivity of stored private data, Orchitech has also completely reinforced the security of the system.

The new system has been implemented in the Czech Republic, but it will be installed in other countries soon. Therefore, the new version of the NDBC includes customization functionality to meet specific national requirements. This feature will significantly ease NCDB implementation in new partner countries.
