Highland Products Group Appoints Carin Obad as General Manager and Chief Technology Officer

July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Boca Raton, Florida - Highland Products Group, a leading eCommerce provider of commercial picnic tables, bleachers and other site furnishings, announced today that Ms. Carin Obad will be joining the company as General Manager and Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Obad will also take on the role of President of Excelsior Interactive, which is the company’s subsidiary specializing in interactive marketing services.

Ms. Obad has been brought on to coordinate many of the key operations across the company and to make high-level technology and marketing decisions to solidify the company’s position as a leader in the industry.

Ms. Obad started her career with General Electric Aerospace where she graduated from GE's prestigious Information Systems Management Program. She later joined KPMG as a Sr. Manager, where she specialized in IT infrastructure deployments and Oracle Financials Package deployments. Ms. Obad then went on to hold CTO positions with several companies where she developed key technology products such as Kanoodle.com, Pulse360.com and Predicto.com.

Ms. Obad has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
