July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Stonehurst Place today announced it will host two military service couples this Veterans Day in conjunction with B&Bs For Vets.   The organization, now in its third year, has expanded to include the support of more than 850 inns across the U.S. that invite veterans and active military personnel to stay for free in observance of Veterans Day.  Service members from all branches of the armed forces will stay Thursday night, November 10th, and wake up to celebrate Veterans Day, November 11th.

Two winners for this year’s Veterans Day stay at Stonehurst Place will be randomly selected from entries submitted via the inn’s homepage www.StonehurstPlace.com.  In addition, ten runners up will be offered two-for-one stays at Stonehurst Place valid September 11 through November 11, 2011.

Stonehurst Place is Atlanta’s only eco-friendly bed and breakfast inn and features deluxe rooms and suites with gourmet breakfast served to guests each morning.  In addition to a large collection of books coveted by guests for their interesting and varied subject matter, the inn juxtaposes museum-quality art with family photos of the original owners and their son who served and died in WWI, William Burch Hinman.

“Thanks so much for being a part of B&B's for Vets,” said a 2010 B&Bs For Vets guest at Stonehurst Place.  “I feel as though we were not only given  a beautiful stay, but also we were granted a wonderful, lasting friendship as a gift.”

Stonehurst Place was the only Atlanta area bed and breakfast participating in the program and among fourteen Georgia inns welcoming military guests free on Veteran’s Day 2010.

“Many of my family members were inspired to serve in our US armed forces, including my father and brother," says Barb Shadomy, interior designer and owner of Stonehurst Place.  "Trying times continue for those protecting freedoms, maintaining peace and providing relief around the globe, and a good night's rest is our way to say thank you."
