Angela Moore Fashion Show & Champagne Breakfast Fundraiser a Huge Success!

July 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Angela Moore hosted her 12th annual Fashion Show & Champagne Breakfast with a day of fundraising and fun featuring fashion and tennis.  Held on Thursday, July 7th, the popular event was the kick off to weekend festivities during the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Tournament at The International Tennis Hall of Fame, including the inductions of Peachy Kellmeyer and Andre Agassi.

The event grossed over $30,000 in proceeds that go towards maintaining and enhancing the International Tennis Hall of Fame, bringing the total raised through the Angela Moore Fashion Shows to over $250,000.

Gorgeous weather set the tone for a beautiful day. Over 400 guests enjoyed breakfast and sipped strawberry Bellinis and Bloody Marys provided by Russell Morin Caterers.  Guests strolled thru the historic Horseshoe Piazza and viewed women’s tennis and fashion vignettes set against a tropical summer backdrop. They proceeded into a fabulous white tent decorated with resort pinks, greens, and ocean blues, featuring signature centerpieces with Angela Moore jewelry and accessories as table accents. In keeping with the show’s special look, Lilly Pulitzer provided their signature colorful linens.  Lucky guests also received raffle prizes from Swarovski Elements, Fila, Rhode Island PBS and The Spa at Newport Marriott.

Celebrity models included Hall of Fame inductee Peachy Kellmeyer, Hall of Famer Bud Collins, Newport Mayor Steve Waluk, NBC10 sports anchor Frank Carpano, Miss Connecticut USA, Ashley Bickford and retiring Newport Daily News sports columnist Rick McGowen. All wore colorful fashions while being interviewed by Angela Moore.  A special treat also included ATP tournament stars Michael Yani and Dennis Kudla, both quarterfinalists in the tournament.

The colorful fashions reflected the theme of this year’s show, “Summer Fashions … Newport Style!”  Models walked the runway fashions from Lilly Pulitzer, Manuel Canovas, Jack Rogers, Angela Moore and dozens of other designers.  Angela provided the commentary for over 30 models and showed over 75 different looks throughout the show.

Immediately following the fashion show, Angela Moore hosted a Champagne and Summer Style Party at her 190 Bellevue Avenue boutique.  It was an afternoon filled with champagne, tasty treats, informal modeling and shopping!   ATP stars and 2011 Doubles Champions  Ryan Harrison and Matt Ebden made an afternoon appearance at the store to autograph tennis balls and provide commentary about their tennis style.
