While September 15th has been declared as National Coffee Break Day, individuals, businesses and organizations can register to be a Coffee Break host, with Coffee Breaks taking place throughout the months of September and October- whatever day works best for the host. The Alzheimer Society provides all hosts with a package that contains all the materials needs to host a successful event.
Proceeds from the campaign stay in Huron County so that the Society can continue to offer its programs and services, which include: support groups, resources, one on one counseling, education programs, volunteer companion program and so much more. A portion will also go towards research initiatives.
“Being a Coffee Break host is a great and easy way to support our Society. Coffee Breaks can be as simple or as elaborate as the host would like. Most people put on a pot of coffee and have people make a donation for a cup, while others host dinner parties or put on a full breakfast.” states executive director Cathy Ritsema.
For more information or to register to be a host, please contact the Alzheimer Society of Huron County at 519-482-1482/
