27th Annual Park Street Art & Wine Faire

The Park Street Art & Wine Faire is Alameda's most popular event, attracting over 100,000 people to the historic downtown district. The event takes place the last weekend in July.

July 18, 2011 - PRLog -- The annual Park Street Art & Wine Faire is a hometown tradition in the San Francisco East Bay area. Located on the island city of Alameda, weekend activities include live music, kids’ area, art and craft vendors, food vendors, and beer and wine sales. This year’s street fair will be held the weekend of July 30 and July 31. Hours run from 10:00am to 6:00pm both days.

Voted “Best Event in Alameda” by Alameda Magazine readers, there is sure to be something for everyone. Festival-goers can also stroll along Alameda’s vibrant and historic commercial district where shops and restaurants will be offering weekend specials.

The Park Street Art & Wine Faire is fun for the whole family!

Arts & Crafts… Stroll among the 250 arts and craft booths located between Encinal and Buena Vista avenues. Vendors will be offering items ranging from ceramics and metal art to paintings, photography, wood crafts, toys, handbags, clothing, jewelry, and more.

Live Entertainment… Each day offers continuous live entertainment on two stages. Bay Area favorites will perform a wide range of music such as classic rock, bluegrass, funk, jazz, and soul. The line-up includes Zebop! Tribute to Santana, Stung, East Bay Mudd, and local rockers The Mighty Neptunes.

Kids’ Area… A special area for kids and their families on Alameda Avenue features bounce houses, giant slide, slot cars, face painting, and a petting zoo.

Festival Food & Drink… Satisfy your taste buds with a great selection of festival favorites such as corndogs, gyros, roasted corn, fried calamari, funnel cakes, and more! There will be four beverage booths serving beer, mimosas, and a selection of local Rock Wall wines.

Ride Your Bike to the Festival… BikeAlameda will be providing free, secure bike parking at the corner of Park Street and Webb Avenue. There couldn't be a better way to experience the festival than after a pleasant ride along the charming streets of Alameda.

Shop Park Street!… The Park Street Business District is Alameda's vibrant historic commercial, cultural, and civic center. Nearly 500 businesses are located in the shopping district and include a variety of restaurants, gift stores, clothing stores, professional services, and the historic Alameda Theatre. Festival-goers are encouraged to “Shop Park Street” and peruse the unique collections of our fine stores as many of the businesses will be offering weekend specials during the street fair.
