July 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Ken Mallinson Transport has cemented its relationship with recycling specialist Sunersol, with the launch of 11 new Sunersol liveried vehicles.

Sunersol has dedicated contract vehicles from Ken Mallinson to aid the collections of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Six of the liveried vehicles are curtain trailers, two of the vehicles are 26 tonne rigid vehicles and there is also one high cube wagon and drag rigid vehicle, articulated tipper trailer, as well as a hook load vehicle with trailers for roll on and roll off container movements nationwide.

Mallinson’s offers a full fleet management programme, with regular servicing in line with the transport regulations. The drivers of the vehicles will also be from Mallinsons, operating throughout the UK to collect WEEE waste from HWRC (Household Waste Recycling Centres), businesses and retailers throughout the UK on a daily basis.

Each of the vehicles will be able to hold between 10 and 25 tonnes of WEEE depending on the requirements of the customer. The standard curtain trailers with televisions on pallets are able to carry 10 tonnes. The more bespoke tipper trailer will collect television glass and when sent for treatment it will have on average 23 tonnes of glass for recycling.

As well as Sunersol running its own livery, large ejector trailers are hired in when required to collect additional small domestic WEEE.

Craig Thompson, Managing Director at Sunersol commented: “We are delighted to be working with Ken Mallinson Transport and their advice on the types of trucks required for Sunersol was invaluable.

“The livery is a great opportunity to promote Sunersol and the dual branding with Ken Mallinson further enhances the relationship we have. We look forward to the future and continuing partnership with them.”

Ian Egan, Business development manager at Ken Mallinson Transport added: “It is always good to be able to offer added value to a customer and with the Sunersol branded livery, it is an excellent brand awareness opportunity for them as it builds its name within the industry and furthermore, strengthens Ken Mallinson Transport’s integration.”
