Global Warming and Marketing?
A conversation with Yes Global's Managing Director, Toby Rowe, on the impact Global Warming has on the business world and the ongoing need for quality, value for money marketing solutions.
Yes Global being a direct marketing and sales solution may not be a company you think would consider something as large scale as global warming. "But I've always been taught by mentors to 'think globally, act locally', and to always consider your role in the bigger picture", says Toby Rowe.
"On a personal level I have to consider my impact and that of the Yes Global on the environment and my future and that of my family: what is Toby Rowe doing to this end. For example, we like to use public transport, and I now walk to work. Also on a business level we can see many impacts that the worlds response to global warming can have.
"Consumers are becoming more conscientious on their product and provider choice. International agreements like the Kyoto agreement sees countries having to limit their emissions. This passes down to industries and companies, which at the end of the day has an impact on their expenses."
Marketing allowances are often massive for larger companies, with the fight for customer acquisition very competitive, especially in the current global economic climate. According to Toby Rowe, Yes Global works hard to enjoy an edge over indirect marketing, "With a professional face to face direct approach to the customers, we can provide a much better value for money solution to our clients".
If they can cut the cost of customer acquisition, Yes Global hopes the savings created can help to provide better provision for other expenditure such as applying better environmental policies.
