Young Teen Publisher to Release Celebratory Print Issue!

July 18, 2011 - PRLog -- In 2010, Savannah Britt, owner and Editor in Chief of Girlpez Fashion Magazine, decided to transition the magazine from being print to solely online, after seeing an opening in the online market. Recently, Savannah Britt visited the Teen Vogue offices in New York City, after being invited by their editor in chief Amy Astley. It was there when Britt had an epiphany. After visiting the extensive offices and seeing what it takes to produce one of today’s most successful magazines, Britt decided she wanted to release a special print edition of the magazine in January of 2012.

“I wish I had taken that visit years ago,” Britt says, “I was impressed by all the effort and research it took to make a successful magazine. I was working off of raw talent and creativity.” During Britt’s visit, she was able to tour the offices and see the famed Fashion Closet as well as the editing room where they are constantly testing out new ideas and seeing what looks best in the magazine.

With the new special print edition, Britt has already created a layout, targeted advertisers, and established contracts with newsstands in Philadelphia and New York. In addition, she is tapping into new markets including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami. The “new” Girlpez, which has come of age, will be extensive and content-rich.

Britt also adds, “Now that I’m growing with age, so are my readers. So with this issue you’ll begin to see the progression in maturity.” Britt plans on adding more tutorials, celebrity features, and expanding the fashion spread section to reflect what a girl wants and what a girl needs.

The new December-January 2012 issue will be available for purchase through the Girlpez website, University Subscription Inc., and newsstands across the country. In addition to the launch of the magazine, Britt plans on throwing a star-studded launch party in December to celebrate the release of the magazine.
