Follow on Google News | The Tri-States Premier Performing Arts School is holding AUDITIONS for "The Elite" Touring GroupCenter Stage Music is holding auditions for their professional touring group! Ages 13-18 are invited to call for an audition appointment!
By: J. Matthew Saunders Registration for auditions will be taken over the phone at (217) 357-NOTE (6683) audition times are set up on an individual basis. Auditions are open to youth ages 13 to 18 from throughout west central Illinois. Students don't need to have experience to participate. They will be taught choreography at the audition, and given a script for drama. For the vocal audition a 1-2 minute song need to be prepared for audition. Participants must arrive prior to audition and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Audition participants should wear appropriate attire. General information about auditions is available at www.centerstagemusicschool.com Rehearsals will be held on Thursday evenings between 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., starting September 1st, 2011. "The Elite" touring group will perform throughout the year all over the Tri-State area in preparation for our final tour in June! This last year "The Elite" performed in Branson Missouri as the opening act for the renowned "Hughes Brothers Show" as well as a featured act at "The Silver Dollar City." "The Elite" touring group was founded in the summer of 2010 dedicated to enriching the lives of our teens through the performing arts. Center Stage Music's mission is to encourage and cultivate the artistically talented youth in our community by giving them the opportunity to perform, thereby enhancing community awareness and appreciation for the performing arts.
