Native Foods Cafe Announces 25 Percent Increase in Trailing 12-Month Same Store Sales
Native Foods Cafe, the country's premiere vegan/vegetarian restaurant company, continues its trend in increasing same store sales at a substantial pace from prior years and announces the opening of new locations in Chicago and San Diego.
Through the end of the 2nd Quarter of Fiscal 2011, which ended Monday, July 11th, System-wide Same Store Sales for the trailing 12 months were up 25% versus the prior 12 month period. For the 1st and 2nd Quarters, System-wide Same Store Sales were up 18% over the same period last year. These results are even more impressive considering they immediately follow the 32% System-wide Same Stores Sales increase for all of Fiscal 2010 compared with Fiscal 2009.
All of the sales increases were a direct result of increases in System-wide Same Store Transactions, which were also up more than 25% over the past 12 months, and up 15% through the first two Quarters of Fiscal 2011.
"We are extremely pleased with our continued increases for the 1st and 2nd Quarters, particularly coming on top of such a strong 2010,” said Daniel Dolan, Chairman & CEO. “The positive momentum we have created is reflected in substantial increases in Same Store Sales and Same Store Transactions across our entire system. Sales in every one of our restaurants are up at least 15% over the past 12 months and similarly year-to-date. We believe this offers strong evidence that the changes we implemented in late 2009 continue to resonate with our guests as exhibited by increased frequency and first time visits to our restaurants.”
