Food Bank for Westchester Elects Five New Board Members

The Food Bank for Westchester has elected five new board members: Mandell L. Crawley, of White Plains; Willard I. Hill, Jr., of Pound Ridge; Cathie Schaffer, of Mount Kisco; Clifford Weber, of Yorktown Heights; and Robert Yager, of White Plains.

July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- The Food Bank for Westchester, which has been fighting hunger for over 20 years, announced that it has voted five new members to its Board of Directors: Mandell L. Crawley, of White Plains; Willard I. Hill, Jr., of Pound Ridge; Cathie Schaffer, of Mount Kisco; Clifford Weber, of Yorktown Heights; and Robert Yager, of White Plains.

Mandell L. Crawley is an Executive Director and National Business Development Manager with the Global Wealth Management Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Prior to that, he was Director of Field Sales and Marketing Strategy for Morgan Stanley. He was also Head of Fixed Income Sales and Distribution for several years at the firm. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago.

Willard I. Hill, Jr. is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Head of Government Relations, and Managing Director at MBIA, Inc. He is also President of MBIA Foundation. Prior to that, he was Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer at MBIA, Inc. and Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations at MBIA Inc. He also served as President, Government Markets and Senior Vice-President and Head of Government Relations at ING US Financial Services. He earned an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Connecticut School of Business, a JD degree from Howard University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Fisk University.

Cathie Schaffer is Senior Vice-President and Division Manager in Middle Market Banking at JP Morgan Chase, White Plains. Previously, she was Senior Vice-President and Group Head at The Bank of New York, White Plains. She has an MBA from Loyola College Graduate School of Business, Baltimore, MD, and a BA from Goucher College, Towson, MD. She also attended Columbia University School of International Affairs, New York, NY, where she studied International Finance.

Clifford Weber is Partner with Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP, White Plains. Prior to that, he was Partner at Serchuk & Zelermeyer, LLP; General Counsel with Community Bankers Association of New York State; and Counsel, New York State Assembly Insurance Committee. He has also authored articles on banking and insurance for various business and professional publications. He has a JD degree from Brooklyn Law School and a BA from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Robert Yager is Senior Vice-President of Operations, New York Metro Division of Stop & Shop Supermarkets. He joined Stop & Shop in 2000 and has held various positions including Store Manager, Human Resource Manager, District Manager, Regional Vice-President of Operations and, most recently, Regional Sales Vice-President in the New York Metro Region 4. Prior to joining Stop & Shop, he worked for ShopRite, where he was a Store Manager and a Grocery Director.
