Comments:

The markets are a bit choppy and thin as we go further into the summer. Most commodities have come back a bit but again this is light volume.

Pushing prices higher are concerns the weather could turn unfavorable for crops after favorable conditions recently gave soybeans a boost. November deliveries will be interesting. Traders are adding risk premium to the market in case excessive heat, dryness or rains develop before the autumn harvest, many analysts believe.

Weather Service:
Drought In Texas, Oklahoma Unlikely To Ease In 2011.

Packer demand gives a boost to Live Cattle and Feeders as well.

Many traders still wondering about the debt ceiling coming due in August. Keep your eye out for releases as that nears. President Obama to hold new talks Sunday. The problems in Europe continue. Could it kill the Euro currency? Soros thinks it may. I continue to follow the Swiss Franc as traders are using it and Aussie as a flight to quality.

10 Year Note yield is back over 3%. If the yield falls below 3% again that could kick of talks of a double dip again.

Strong stocks have been seen the last couple of weeks as demand strengthens on a retail level. Unemployment numbers very disappointing as the rate goes to 9.2. I think many were expecting much better numbers due to the good stats released from the ADP report. It was expected to be up 125,000 but comes in at only 18,000. This, I think, can change the dynamics of the debt ceiling talks. Wholesale Trade down 0.2% further bringing into the picture ideas of further stimulus.
