Cheryl Ehlers and The Stardust Arts Awarded City of Encinitas Mizel Family Foundation Grant

July 10, 2011 - PRLog -- The Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito club members  will partake in an adventure into the world of imagination and creativity under the guidance of art instructor, Cheryl Ehlers. Excitement arises as the program takes stage and the students delve into the world of visual fine art using watercolors and acrylics and loads of imagination.

The Stardust Arts is a California State recognized program that also has the backing of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. Since joint venturing with the Dr. Wilderness Show, a non -profit that educates youth on the environment utilizing magic, the sky’s the limit when you combine the Magic of Art.

Her program has been a success from the inception ,when she first was awarded a grant from the Kenneth A Picerne Foundation, for an artist outreach program in 2009.  The program surpassed  its expectations and has since been requested by several cities and school districts.  Wherever the stars fall, is where you will find The Stardust Arts and the development of creativity and imagination for youth.

Her program has touched over 2800 students since fall of 2009 and continues promoting visual art education to youth and adults.

This is an exciting time with the upcoming new school year and all those waiting with excitement to be "Star-dusted". Classes will begin in September for the Boys and Girls Club with an exhibition of  art  forthcoming. So don't miss all the art review and action.
