Calgary, AB – What a way to kick off the Calgary Stampede for the Borealis Rodeo Team. In one of the first events of the day, Bareback Rider Ryan Gray of Cheny, WA took the win with an 87 point ride on the Kesler horse Starburst. Fellow bareback rider Jason Havens finished out of the money with a 79 point ride.

Novice Bareback Rider Cole Goodine of Carbon, AB is in the lead in the Novice also with a big 79 point ride today. Dillion Ritter failed to make the 8 second whistle.

Bull Rider Jesse Torkelson made it to 7.97 seconds in the bull riding on the Calgary Stampede bull White Knight but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades so he didn’t place. Look for Jesse to do big things the rest of this week.

The Pool A Team competes through until Monday. The Rodeo Saturday starts at 1:30pm.
