TeeDaily announces the Launch of its New Business and Participation in The Ultimate Start-up Space

Creative start-up TeeDaily is proud to announce the launch of its new business and its participation in the The Ultimate Start-up Space Competition. Part of the proceeds of all TeeDaily sales from TeeJunction will be donated to a charity partner.

July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- SINGAPORE – All ideas start with a vision. TeeDaily, a start-up design-competition website based in Singapore, embraces a vision of helping budding artists get noticed and in doing so, helping its charitable partners as well. Up-and-coming artists can submit their designs to TeeDaily and take part in a year-long competition where they stand to gain significant exposure. The winning designs are printed and sold for a limited time, with royalties and cash prizes going to the respective artists and $1 of every shirt sold going to TeeDaily’s charity partners.

TeeDaily’s concept is all about being a springboard for new artists and designers, with an emphasis on giving back to society. The company’s first adopted charity is Charity: Water (http://www.charitywater.org). If TeeDaily wins the competition’s crowd funding round, they intend to donate 10% of the funds to Charity:Water, as well as a portion of all proceeds from T-shirt pre-sales  from now until the official first month of their daily T-shirt sales.

“We're hoping that we can achieve between $5K and $20K in this two to three month period,” says Shariff. “$5K will allow us to build a well for an entire village, but we are also targeting $20K – that can help us fund a water project for a school or hospital in rural areas.”

Having already garnered much interest from investors and industry experts, TeeDaily has made it into the finals of The Ultimate Start-up Space (TUSS) competition organized in Singapore and located at the website UltimateStartupSpace.com.sg. The TUSS competition will award the winner with 1400 square-foot of shop space, $20,000 startup capital, and access to the Executive Education Programme by INSEAD. The TUSS competition concludes when the winner is announced on August 18, 2011.

The idea behind TUSS relies on ‘crowd funding’, a relatively new means of supporting a business concept or plan. Those who believe in the business concepts featured on the TUSS website can pledge to fund their favorite business ideas; crowd funding constitutes 20% of the criteria used to determine a winner. TeeDaily’s proposed physical storefront, TeeJunction, is currently 5th out of 10 finalists and looking to make a move this week, storming for first place. TeeDaily is actively seeking support to help nail down first place in the TUSS competition. The pledging portion of the competition ends on July 15, 2011. Interested parties are encouraged to view the professionally produced TeeJunction video and pledge their support of TeeJunction by TeeDaily at http://www.ultimatestartupspace.com.sg/top10/teejunction.

Featuring one-of-a-kind designs from artists all over the world, TeeDaily's t-shirts are printed in Florida, USA, and are shipped to customers worldwide. TeeDaily’s website is currently live in beta. Artists and interested visitors can view the site at http://www.teedaily.com. The official site launch is slated for August 2011.

“We are proud to announce the soft launch for TeeDaily,” says Shariff, owner and founder of the company. “It is currently in private beta and we are excited for artists to begin submitting their designs. TeeDaily offers many benefits to our artists, from royalties and cash prizes to worldwide exposure for their designs, which we’ll be featuring on our Limited Edition T-shirts. And of course, helping out a great cause. We anticipate great things and we are thrilled to help raise the profiles of our charity partners as well.”
