When Thais was asked to submit an audition demo, Felecia Harte, music producer, “HartecastMusic.com”, was very impressed and knew that this voice was perfect for the song! “Once in a while you hear a song sung by a singer and you just know that person was destined to sing that song,” states Ms. Harte and “Thais was destined to sing, “You Make Me Smile”.
Although Thais has an arsenal of singing styles at her disposal, she pulled out the songbird for this and it is truly a beautiful performance. The song, “You Make Me Smile”, is a song not about the heartache of love but about how love is uplifting. The song’s lyric, “your love makes me smile”, describes the warmth of the song. The combination of Thais’ strong but gentle vocals blends perfectly with the beauty of the melody and lyrics of this song. There is no studio doctoring on her vocals, what you hear is what you get… the raw, natural gift she was born with. Thais had a passion for performing at an early age. Being of Costa Rican and Mexican descent, she has a rich Latin music heritage from which she built and developed her ability to sing pop, R&B and hip-hop as well. Although born in San Francisco, her parents wanted her to experience a multicultural upbringing and so Thais and her family also lived in Miami, San Diego and Venezuela where she began her singing and dancing career. Thais is dedicated to self-growth and development as evidenced by her degree from UC Berkeley; yes, she has brains and beauty!
