July 2, 2011 - PRLog -- July 2, 2011 - San Diego, CA - San Diego Boca FC (6-1-6) takes on the Santa Ana Winds (7-1-4) in NPSL action this Sunday at Balboa Stadium at 3pm to close out the 2011 NPSL Season and celebrate Fan Appreciation Day.

San Diego Boca FC is coming into the match after a solid win last weekend on the road against the Rattlers FC 5-3 and another winning performance would allow Boca to keep pace with second place Santa Ana. With a win, Boca can end up in a tie for second place in its division, pending other results. Earlier this year, Boca lost at home to Santa Ana on an 89th minute goal which proved to be costly from a playoff perspective.

San Diego Boca FC Head Coach Sabino Tinajero commented, "We are finishing the year on a good note as the club has battled together to get through some tough spots. We want to win this last home match of the season in front of our fans and I am confident the players will give it their all this Sunday. Jared Kukura played well in our last match in the back against Lancaster after being out a few months and thus our defense coupled with a solid midfield should prove to be a handful for Santa Ana."

San Diego Boca FC General Manager Travis Chesney commented " We are excited about this weekend's game as it's an opportunity for the fans to show the players the appreciation for their efforts this season, so we encourage all fans to come out and support with lots of enthusiasm and noise."
