Hot Rods by the Slice and Austin Humane Society Team Up
Classic cars, motorcycles and dogs are coming together Saturday July 16 at the Hot Rods by the Slice monthly event hosted at the Original Rockin Tomato on South Lamar by Murpho's Rods and Customs.
Thinking about adding a new member to your family, The Austin Humane Society is a "no kill" shelter that saves about 2800 animals every year when the City of Austin euthanizes about 11,000 per year so it is a great non-profit to support.
"The Austin Humane Society gets no state or government funding. They depend on community fundraising events like this to continue operations,"
"All makes and models of automobiles are welcome along with bikes. It is really about getting the community out to support a great cause and simply build the local scene," said Murph from Murpho's Rods and Customs.
Spend your Saturday, playing with pups, checking out cars, eating pizza, shopping, listening to live music and enjoying some happy hour specials from 3-11 at 3003 South Lamar. Bring a hot rod down and get a free pizza. Also join the raffle to get a chance to win a pair of Tres Noir Sunglasses of your choice. Come be a part of something big!
