July 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA. July 1, 2011—As expected, Simon Silverback, Founder and CEO of Consolidated Acorns, Inc.  has entered the 2012 presidential race, heading the ticket of the newly formed Acorn Party. His announcement, which came as he stood on a tree limb in Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta, was brief and to the point:

“We’ve elected nuts,” he said. “Why not a squirrel?”

In the Q&A session that followed, Silverback outlined his platform, both foreign and domestic. When asked about the faltering economy, Silverback was blunt:

“It’s about the nuts, stupid!”

He then reaffirmed his stance that solving the country’s economic woes would require a combination of cost cutting and revenue generation. When reporters asked why these measures had not already been taken by Congress and the Administration, Silverback glibly replied:

“It’s about the nuts, stupid!”

Silverback first attracted public attention with the publication of his treatise on leadership, The Leadership Secrets of Squirrels, in which he divulged what he called “60 acorns of wisdom” that could make anyone a better leader in one reading.

Said Silverback, “I’m happy to say that, on any given day, my eBook is giving Colin Powell’s and Hilary Clinton’s books a run for their money.”

In the book, Silverback draws on his own experiences and the writings of a revered squirrel general to create a book whimsical in concept but serious in content. Each secret is based on squirrel behavior familiar to everyone worldwide:

14 Secrets on Crossing a Road
20 Secrets from the Nutground
10 Secrets at the Birdfeeder
4 Secrets from a Squirrel’s Tail
10 Secrets in the Trees
4 Secrets about Owls

Each secret in this unique eBook begins with a quotation by the general followed by a concise statement of squirrel behavior and how that translates to a leadership secret.

Robert L. Lorber, coauthor of Putting the One-Minute Manager to Work, had this to say about the book: “I’ve worked closely with hundreds of CEOs of corporations, senior business leaders at all levels, university leaders, a few country leaders, and community leaders, and most of them will love the fun concepts in this little book. I love creative new ways at looking at how we can help become better leaders in all aspects of our lives.”
