Pirate Cove Adventure Golf at Bluewater Park to host the 2011 BMGA British Matchplay Championships

Pirate-themed Adventure Golf course to host its first British Minigolf Association tournament on Sunday 10th July
 
June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The new Pirate Cove Adventure Golf at Bluewater Park in Kent course has been selected to host its first official British Minigolf Association competition on Sunday 10th July, as 32 of the UK’s top minigolfers will be competing in the fourth annual BMGA British Matchplay Championships.

The tournament tees-off at the Smugglers course at 9am on Sunday 10th July, and will see each of the 32 players competing for the coveted BMGA British Matchplay Title.

Each player will play seven matches throughout the day. For 2011 the tournament will be run in two phases, a round-robin stage and a knockout stage. 2009 – Andy Exall, from Paddock Wood, defeated Newcastle’s John Moore 5&4 at the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf course to lift the title
2008 – Tim ‘Ace Man’ Davies, from Hastings, defeated Andy Exall 5&4 at the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf course to lift the title

The Pirate Cove Adventure Pro-Am Classic 2011

Charity Doubles event at Bluewater Park on Saturday 9th July

On Saturday 9th July the BMGA will be running a charity pairs (pro-am) event in association with Bluewater Park and the Pirate Cove Adventure Park. The event will take place from 2pm and will consist of one round of strokeplay competition on the Smugglers course with pairs made up of BMGA members and the general public. The pair with the combined lowest score will win the competition. All entry fees will go to the charity choice of the winning pair’s non-BMGA Tour Pro.
