Meetings Industry Summit – Navigating Change
PCMA and MPI join to host this extraordinary conference, for these extraordinary times.

SEATTLE, WA – June 29, 2011 – The Washington State Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Professional Convention Management Associations (PCMA) join again to host the 10th Annual Meetings Industry Summit on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA.

This premier event brings together two active and strong meeting planning organizations to network, share best practices, brainstorm new ideas and learn.  This year the volunteer organization will be crowdsourcing one of the breakout sessions.  Through the use of social media, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, the Meetings Industry Summit will engage their audience and ask for suggestions for speakers and topics.  

The group has enlisted Dave Serino, founder of #SoMeT and Gammet Interactive to help the volunteer marketing committee make this happen.  Gammet Interactive is an online marketing and social media agency serving the travel, tourism, hospitality and meetings industries and was instrumental in the success of the #SoMeT conference, a conference that used crowdsourcing to select speakers and solicit topics for their First Annual Conference.
