Breast Cancer Charity Event to be hosted by Lady ZjaZja Events, LLC

June 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Lady Zja Zja Events, LLC announced today that it will provide financial support to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a Haverford, PA based non-profit dedicated to empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the beast quality of life.

The Annual Adult Prom Extravaganza was created to transport adults back to their youth and all its excitement with an evening of entertainment, fabulous food, and a sophisticated party.  This year Lady Zja Zja Events also wanted to give back!

“The theme for this year’s extravaganza will be ‘An Evening with Meaning’,” said Shemi Edwards, President of Lady Zja Zja Events.  “We choose to assist Living Beyond Breast Cancer and are donating a portion of our revenues from the 3rd Annual Adult Prom Extravaganza to help them continue their great work.  Breast cancer has not only touched my family, but also the families of many of our guest.  My team and I felt that one way to share our success with others was to give what we could to further the work done by Dr. Marisa C. Weiss and Living Beyond Breast Cancer.”

Living Beyond Breast Cancer was founded in 1991 by radiation oncologist Marisa C. Weiss, MD, in response to a woman's need for breast-cancer-related information, connection, and support after completing treatment. In its early years, Dr. Weiss ran LBBC out of the third floor of her home using volunteers.  Today, LBBC has expanded to assist women at all stages of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Their mission includes offering specialized programs and services for the newly diagnosed, young women, women with advanced breast cancer, women at high risk for developing the disease, and African-American and Latina women.

Guest of The 3rd Annual Adult Prom Extravaganza will be greeted on the red carpet and interviewed prior to entering, photographed Hollywood style and treated to featured performances including the comedic styling of Cocoa Brown (The Ultimate Chameleon) – Washington, DC Comedienne of the Year.
