By: Mary Long CURTAIN UP ON STAGECOACH THEATRE ARTS SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PERFORMERS Help make it a dramatic entrance by enrolling NOW! School-age children in Toronto will soon have the chance to train in the performing arts when a new stage school founded in England opens in September. Stagecoach Theatre Arts, established in England in 1988, is the largest network of part-time stage schools in the world, with over 40,000 students attending classes each week. Students from 6 to 16 years old train for three hours a week, on weekends, in drama, dance and singing, all with specialist professional teachers. As well as preparing for a future career, the training is beneficial to children wanting to gain confidence, poise and communication skills. Parents are kept in touch with their child's progress through written reports and are invited to attend performances twice yearly. The Toronto School will be based at Humbercrest United Church, 16 Baby Point Road, Toronto On., M6S 2E9.
