communityCONNECT provides opportunities for members of the health insurance community to unite and work with business partners across North America to facilitate and participate in volunteer activities.
 
June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Elk Grove, CA – benefitsCONNECT® announced today the launch of communityCONNECT, a new program designed to encourage volunteer work within the health insurance community.

communityCONNECT's mission is to unite and mobilize volunteer efforts with both our benefitsCONNECT® team and health insurance professionals nationwide. Our focus is to give back to our communities through service projects, donations, and partnerships with existing charity organizations. Brokers are strong forces of change within their communities; through combining our efforts and sharing our stories we strive to affect change across the country. benefitsCONNECT® cares deeply about helping others and commits to dedicating time, energy, and funding to meet our communities' needs through our communityCONNECT initiative.

The program officially kicked off on June 11th with the participation of seven benefitsCONNECT® team members in the 2nd Annual Ally’s Run. This event supports the Ride to Walk (RTW) facility in Lincoln, CA. All proceeds from the charity benefited the Ally Memorial Scholarship Fund for children eligible to receive horseback therapy. The scholarship was created in memory of Allison Ellis, who passed away on December 7, 2009.

“communityCONNECT has been a passion project of the benefitsCONNECT® team for the last several years,” says Ja’Nene Kane, President / COO of benefitsCONNECT®. “As a group we have been heavily involved in coordinating our own internal volunteer activities locally and we are thrilled to begin involving the health insurance community in our efforts.  We are hoping to ignite a spark within our industry and increase our impact through collaborative effort, in addition to highlighting all the charity and volunteer activities already taking place in the health insurance community.”
