June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- As the race continues to bring out newer pieces and faster technology in electronics, LG mobiles has unveiled a new addition. The LG optimus 3D phone is all set to reach the markets in June and is creating a lot of noise about its 3D recording capabilities. The phone was unveiled at the mobile world congress at Barcelona in Spain and looks like an exciting new offer. With a 4.3 inch multi touch screen, and a pair of 5mega pixel cameras creating an illusion of depth to product the 3D effect minus glasses, it looks like it’s the next big thing.

For the tech savvy, this phone will definitely be something to look forward to. It runs on NVidia platform and has a WVGA screen. Its clarity and sharpness whether the image is in 2D or 3D is commendable. The phone is to be held at the right depth for the 3D effect to be seen by users as in the case of the Nintendo gaming device, 3DS. This concept however works well with handheld devices and smaller screens as in the case of mobiles and gaming consoles rather than TVs which require 3D glasses.

The phone continues in the lines of the LG Optimus 2X with a sleek body and its wide screen with a resolution of 400x800 pixels and 16 million colors is visually arresting. It continues to run on the Google android operating system and will be released with Android Froyo (Android 2.2) which can be upgraded to the newest version on the market, Gingerbread (Android 2.3).  It will also have connectivity such as Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G and also an HDMi port which will allow the images and recording to be viewed on larger monitors and TV screens. For the 3D effect when viewing in on your TV, the glasses will be required.

The phone also looks at providing high efficiency in task performance and also a first of its kind dual memory architecture along with its dual processors powered by Texas Instruments. The 1Ghz dual processor offers excellent speed in running all the fancy applications and 3D apps. There is a change in the camera shutter button on this model, which has been replaced by the 3D app. This will allow people to share and record images and videos in 3D when pressed. The back panel of it is much the same except for a metal pad on which the 2 5MP cameras are placed with a nose LED light in between.

Another exciting feature of this phone is an additional app with 3D augmented reality. LG has partnered with wikitude to allow users to get augmented information about the images they stream in real through the phone’s cameras using this app. This is a great way for better engagement and interaction with the real time user environments and people can gather a lot more information about their surroundings using it. With such exciting features and additions, it is a small wonder that people are waiting with bated breath for it to hit the markets in the summer.
