June 26, 2011 - PRLog -- The organizers of j-Summit New York announce the lineup for their July concert. The concert will take place on Sunday, July 3 at The Bowery Electric (327 Bowery between Second and Third Streets) in New York. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door for guests over 21 years old. The price includes one drink ticket. Guests 18 to 20 pay $13 in advance and $16 at the door, including one drink ticket for a non-alcoholic beverage.

J-Summit New York is a monthly concert series that introduces audiences to exciting bands of all genres. One of the groups playing the July 3rd event is Ten, an innovative trio that combines the traditional sounds of the koto (a Japanese stringed instrument) against a backdrop of hard-rock bass guitar and drums. Also performing are blues, pop, and rock singer/guitarist Yujin Amano; Yuki and Cuties, who sing in an alternative, jazz, and J-pop style peppered with a traditional Japanese flavor; and the electronic pop of singer Reiko4D.

The concert is also a showcase of local dance talent, including Nobuya Nagahama, a dancer and choreographer who appeared on the show So You Think You Can Dance. Also performing are Michael Feigenbaum, FNC, Sachiko & Naoko, Torumarin and Yuriko Miyake.

Tokyo Circus and Clown ToTo the juggling clown will ham it up in their comedy routines.

The organizers of j-Summit New York will again have a donation box for Japan earthquake and tsunami relief, just as they have each month since the March 11 disaster. All donations and partial proceeds from the event will go to the Consulate General of Japan in New York.

For the show on July 3, doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert running from 6:00 p.m. until midnight. For the first time since the j-Summit New York events have been held at The Bowery Electric, the first floor bar will be open from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.

Attendees can reserve advance tickets by joining the j-Summit New York Facebook page and sending an e-mail with their full names to info@jsummitny.com to be added to the mailing list.
