Heyward Allen Toyota Stocks Consumer Reports Best Fuel Economy Pick

The requirements to receive the honor stretched beyond just fuel-based performance. The Corolla LE had to meet the Consumer Reports’ road test guidelines in the categories of dependability, performance, safety, and miles per gallon (mpg).

Consumer Reports generated the Best Fuel Economy list in response to increased consumer demands for a reliable vehicle with an immediate return on the initial investment. “As gas prices rise, the pay-back time gets shorter," said David Champion, Senior Director of Consumer Reports Auto Test center in East Haddam, CT.
