Vets Young & Old to be Honored at Fort Myers Harley-Davidson via Freedom Photo & Harley's Heroes
On July 9th, Fort Myers Harley-Davidson will honor and offer support for local vets young and old via their 3rd Annual Freedom Photo and Collaboration with Harley's Heroes and Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
An appreciation ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. including:
· National anthem sing
· Guest speaking presentation by City of Cape Coral Mayor John Sullivan
· Suncoast Vietnam Veteran’s reenactment of The Last Patrol
The ceremony will be immediately followed by the mass Freedom Photo at noon. Participants are encouraged to wear their uniform, colors and patches. All guests will receive a copy of the photo and a large-scale version will be produced and featured in their retail location. Refreshments will be provided along with live music following the photo. No RSVP necessary.
Additionally, Veterans in the Southwest Florida area can receive free counseling and assistance with their government benefits as Harley-Davidson and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) are bringing the Harley’s Heroes program to the dealership the same day.
Veterans who suffer from injuries or disabilities related to their military service, and may have never filed a claim for benefits with the VA or have found it difficult working through the red tape, are encouraged to attend. The DAV counselors at this event are highly trained professionals who are skilled experts in developing and prosecuting veterans’ claims.
