WRS Group Acquires QTI Powers, Rebrands as QTI Promotions and Apparel

June 21, 2011 - PRLog -- WACO, TX -- Nearly 40 years ago in an anti-smoking lobbying effort by Waco physician Dr. Wayman R. Spence, every member of Congress received an ashtray he made that had a pair of lungs perched on top.  Smoke channeled through one lung and turned it a pukish yellow-brown while the other lung stayed clear.  The prank garnered national attention, and the Waco-based health education catalog business, Health Edco, launched in earnest.

Since then, WRS Group, Ltd., it's Health Edco, and other divisions have become the go-to resource in the medical and healthcare industries nationally and internationally.  But the company wanted more.  With strong Central Texas roots, WRS Group wanted to bring its long-standing manufacturing and marketing experience into the local market.

For 28 years, the company has been well-known in Central Texas for exceptional customer service and quality merchandise.  To ensure that continues, former owners Randy Cox, Nancy Cox and Jeffrey Paul will manage current and future customer relationships.
