The most important thing that Transgender Author Toni Newman said she needed to make the transformation and begin her journey was Courage.  Her favorite quote about courage comes from Dr. Maya Angelou, Reynolds Professor at Wake Forest University, which is Toni's alma matta (Class of 1985).  “Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.”
