Marines Will Read to Children at Center to Promote Literacy and Perform Puppet Show Educating Children on the Importance of Military Service
WHO: Harris-Stowe State University, a four-year institution that offers 14 degree programs in the areas of accounting, business administration, biology, criminal justice, early childhood education, elementary education, health care management, hospitality and tourism management, information sciences and computer technology, mathematics, middle school education, professional interdisciplinary studies, secondary education and urban education. WHAT: Marine Week St. Louis will be held from June 20 through June 26, 2011 in St. Louis, MO. As part of the week’s festivities, Marine Corps members will be reading stories to children, ages three to five, to promote literacy, education and the role of the military. Members of the St. Louis news media are invited and encouraged to attend.
