Marine Week Comes to St. Louis and HSSU Campus

HARRIS-STOWE STATE UNIVERSITY TO HOST MARINES AT WILLIAM L. CLAY SR. EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND PARENTING EDUCATION CENTER TO CELEBRATE MARINE WEEK
Marines Will Read to Children at Center to Promote Literacy and Perform Puppet Show Educating Children on the Importance of Military Service

WHAT:   Marine Week St. Louis will be held from June 20 through June 26, 2011 in St. Louis, MO. As part of the week’s festivities, Marine Corps members will be reading stories to children, ages three to five, to promote literacy, education and the role of the military. Members of the St. Louis news media are invited and encouraged to attend.


WHEN:    Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 9 a.m.


WHERE:   The William L. Clay Sr. Early Childhood Development and Parenting Education Center is located on the campus of Harris-Stowe State University at 10 North Compton Avenue.
