June 20, 2011 - PRLog -- LIVORNO, 17th June 2011 — The new 3D recording system based on Eigenmike® microphones array and the software developed by AIDA, University of Parma spin-off, and by RAI Technological research Center, it will be distributed worldwide by A&G Soluzioni Digitali®.
The patented system for the recording of three-dimensional sound landscapes, represents the state of the art in the 3D audio or 2D surround recording technology, and allows the use of up to seven "virtual microphones" in real time or post-production. It is possible also to use a joystick or the mouse to track the movements of a performer (or seven) on stage in real time, and to focus the recording on his voice.

“Since 1997 A&G Soluzioni Digitali has been focused on the problem of three-dimensional audio reproduction” says Luigi Agostini, sole director of A&G, “ and even if our X-spat boX2 was already the best practical and economical solution on the market for installations and live performances, in the recording sector we were searching for a solution with the same power and flexibility. Using 3D VMS, developed by Angelo Farina, Andrea Capra and Leonardo Scopece, you are able to record an event with only one Eigenmike and then, later, you can use the software to simulate the positioning of seven microphones on the event location, with different polar patterns.
If you do not like the positions and the kind of microphones you have chosen you can change those easily, and you can not do this with traditional microphones, once you have recorded a gig you can only work on mix, but the kind of microphones you have chosen and their positions will remain forever. It is a fantastic feature, in my opinion.”

A&G Soluzioni Digitali started the evolution of 3D audio production in the 90s participating in the E.A.S.Y. European Project, and re-invented 3D Audio Workstations in 2004 with its X-Spatialisation Card for Apogee Rosetta 800. Today A&G Soluzioni Digitali is still in the forefront of innovation in its industrial sector with its 3D Audio Workstations and its professional applications for iPhone® and for the
Apple Mac OS X operative system.
