Klezmer Musicians Against the Wall CD Release Party with Free Radicals & Di Nigunim

June 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Klezmer is a traditional secular jewish instrumental music.  14 bands that play klezmer came together to record and contribute every variety of klezmer music to a CD project to oppose injustice.

Klezmer Musicians Against the Wall oppose discrimination, injustice, and brutality against living beings. We support opposition to Israeli apartheid and occupation through non-violent protest, targeted boycotts, civil disobedience, and direct action. We encourage the international community to join us. Musicians know how people from different cultures can build bridges, not walls.

Four of the 14 bands who contributed to the CD compilation will be in Houston July 18th, 2011 to celebrate the release of the CD.  

Thought blacklisted in Florida (http://www.prlog.org/10798711-floridas-jewish-radio-show-blacklists-14-klezmer-bands.html), the bands continue to make klezmer music and fight for justice.
