Mommy Magic Brings Her “Little” Princess to Utah for Festival

June 19, 2011 - PRLog -- June 18, 2011 - San Diego, CA – Ever wonder how children of the parenting experts we listen to actually end up?  Here is a refreshing update on the author (and four children) of the bestselling book MOMMY MAGIC – Creative Activities and Inspiring Stories to Deepen the Bond with Your Child, recently released in its third edition.
Adria Manary has not been out on the road much since the original MOMMY MAGIC came out ten years ago.  Why?  Because she was busy creating magic for her own family!  One of the reasons she came off the road was that she couldn’t bear to miss another “first” in the precious lives of her children.  After a call from her daughter during a book signing in another state, who was practically squealing in her ear that she had lost her first tooth, the initial thrill of traveling to promote her book lost its allure.  
“I’ve always loved people, and meeting so many wonderful fellow moms across the country was a terrific experience when I went on my first book tour.  But as any one of those mothers would agree, even the thrill of appearing on national television couldn’t hold a candle to being in the audience of my children’s many school plays and recitals or cheering them on at their various sports competitions!”
Ms. Manary always had a plan though.  When her children were older, she hoped that writing and traveling would help ease the emotional pain of the inevitable empty nest syndrome.   Now that her “baby,” Astra, is now almost seventeen, Adria is not only starting to “get out a little” with her newest book – she is taking her daughter with her!
In deciding the best place to begin her tour this summer, Ms. Manary chose to start in the most magical place she could think of…where fantasy goes hand in hand with teaching kindness and values.  “Last year I was invited to be a special guest at the Princess Festival, a marvelous event being held at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT this year.  I was so enamored with the genuineness of the entire experience – as well as the sheer delight that I saw on each little girl’s face as they went through their adventures  – that I was the one who asked to be a part of it this time!  The best part is that my daughter will be volunteering as a “Private-Eye Princess”, where she will have the opportunity to hand out goodies to the little “princesses” attending the event that she catches doing “good deeds”…such as being kind to each other or throwing their trash in the garbage cans rather than littering,” she says.  “Mommy Magic is all about the ‘magic of love’ – which abounds every day at the Princess Festival!”
Ms. Manary, who has been known as “Mommy Magic” for over a decade, has been a real mom for over twenty-two years.  In addition to Astra, she has three older sons, who are stellar examples of how spending quality time with your children will yield happy, caring and productive young adults.  Along with her own experiences, she credits her mom with much that went into her book.  “She was the original ‘Mommy Magic’,” she declares.  Ms. Manary also interviewed over a hundred other moms to gather the unique, inspiring and practical tips found in her book, along with the true, heartfelt stories chosen to highlight each chapter.  With poetry that stirs the soul and a free download of her family music mp3, “Precious Souls” – I think it is safe to say that she has lived up to the name she has come to be known as.
