June 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Interviewing is one of the most important tools for any job seeker. The resume and cover letter are important in getting you through the door, but won't be enough to get you that job you desire. What's more important is showcasing your personability and you ability to face tough situations and people and excel in them. For this reason, employers tend to place heavy weight on a candidate's ability to interview. This shows them that: a) you can hold your own even when facing tough questions and b) you are charismatic and likeable. Thus, if anyone were to know ahead of time what they would be facing come interview time, they would have a higher rate of success in acquiring that specific job. Here, I have compiled a list of the top 10 interview questions most interviewers ask during an interview. This comes from both personal experience as well as hearsay and my personal connections with top level executives.

1. Tell me a little bit about yourself. 2. What is your biggest weakness/strength? 3. How well do you work in a team setting? 4. What is your career goal? 5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 6. Tell me a little bit about a struggle you faced in your last job and how youhandled it. 7. Have you ever held a leadership position? If so, how would you describe your leadership style? 8. What do you believe you bring to this position? Why should I hire you and not someone else? 9. If you could only use one word to describe yourself, what would it be? 10. Why do you want to work here?

Before going into an interview, have a friend or family member ask you these questions in a mock interview so that you can prepare your answers. Being prepared for anything an everything that an interviewer can throw at you will be essential so that you don't look like you don't know what you're talking about. Seeming knowledgeable will give the impression tot he interviewer(s) that you are capable of sounding professional in the appropriate setting. Professionalism is key and with solid answers prepared for these questions, you will be bound for ultimate success!
