Mr. Gurnick has extensive knowledge in event planning ranging from locations to décor, and possesses an equally important ability to manage budgets and keep planning details in order. Mr. Gurnick’s weddings have been featured in magazines such as Grace Ormonde Wedding Style and Party Flora. He has also designed events for high profile clients like AT&T, United Airlines, and The American Film Institute.
Mr. Gurnick carefully selects other well-respected professionals for the interviews that share his passion for creating stylish and elegant celebrations. He tailors his questions to highlight what is most important and unique about each individual and the companies that they represent. The over-riding emphasis and point of his interviews is to extract as much useful and poignant information for his avid listeners as possible.
Mr. Gurnick most recently interviewed Mr. Dell’Aglio, an industry veteran with over 30 years of fine jewelry experience, about choosing the right engagement ring. Mr. Dell’Aglio affirms that every diamond has a story and every engagement ring has a home on someone’s finger, thus choosing the right ring to tell that story is a very delicate and important process. Mr. Dell’Aglio feels fortunate to be able to share in many of his customers’ most memorable moments. During his 30 year career in the jewelry industry, he has traveled the world in search of diamonds and gemstones and has collaborated with some of the most renowned manufacturers and jewelry designers.
Mr. Dell’Aglio has been with Samuels since 2007 when the parent company, Gitanjali Gems, purchased the Rogers Jewelers chain. Mr. Dell’Aglio was with Rogers for over seven years and had worked for three other jewelry store chains in the Midwest, most notably Sterling Inc. (owner of Kay Jewelers), where he held various merchandising positions. Beginning his career right after college, he worked his way up from a customer service representative for Pulsar Time Inc., where he learned the true meaning of customer service.
